Woven Layers - wallhanging - ‘Geese weaving’
This woven painting has come forth from a love for textile and a curiosity of what my original painting (the last image shown) would do, how the layers would show, what the extra dimension of yarn will bring to the work. In 2018 I got the chance to translate 5 paintings into woven paintings. This is one of them.
approximately 120 x 150 cm, jacquard woven at Textielmuseum in Tilburg
in a rich blend of linen, merinos wool, mohair and eco cotton
this weaving is mounted and framed in a linden wooden frame.
delivery time will be between 8 to 10 weeks as the Textielmuseum has full schedules for their workshop and the tapestry is made on demand.
