lovage, a study on pale green

60x80 cm
ECO matte paint,  bister pigment and acryllic paint on a linen canvas.

a wonderful surprise showed up in my studio garden. at first glance I thought it was something like dill or wild parsnip. on the other hand it also looked like bolted sellery. after some search, a mother from school suggested it might be lovage.
wow, and it turned up in large numbers too! I am amazed that just another umbelliferflower seems to excist and thankful for it to grow within my sight.

the painting is framed in a plain wooden frame.
