dove of peace

Together with Vanessa Oostijen we took on the adventure of picking up an old and mutual love; sewing, combining old pieces of fabric in order to make a monumental image. We got the chance to do this for the annual christmas fair that was held in the Elleboogkerk in Amersfoort, dec 2023. With all that is going on in the world, this felt like the absolute perfect thing to do.
Slowing down, connecting and focussing on making something that resembles peace.
The result was a huge dove, waving softly in the draft of the ‘church’.
Now we can’t wait to make another textile assembly.
